I was reading my patriarchal blessing about my hunk of a man and my heart was beating something fierce! He's a freakin' amazing man, I tell you! He's just the man I need / want. I just get goosebumps each time I read about him. It makes me excited to meet this guy.
I was asked last week what kind of wife / mother I would be. I was stumped. A good one? Gee, I don't know. I really had to think hard about this one. Then I had to ask myself, what am I doing now that will help me become a great wife / mother? Where could I improve? I feel like I am far from where I should be. (Then again, I think that's natural for everyone.) This thought was hot wired on my brain the last few days. I took a step back and reevaluated my life. I want to be just as great and spiritual as my husband. He's doing his best to prepare for me and I should be doing the same to prepare for him. Let's be honest, he deserves a top-notch girl, right?
The other day I came across this song on YouTube and immediately fell in love with it. It pretty much describes the person I want to be in a marriage.
"No Matter Where You Are"
written by: Michael & Carissa Alvarado
I will stand by you
Even when we fall
I will be the rock, that holds you up
and lifts you high so you stand tall
I won't let you go
No one can take your place
a couple fights & lonely nights
Don't make it right to let it go to waste
Chorus:
I won't let you fall
I won't let you go
No matter where you are
No matter where you are, I'll be there
I will hold on to
Everything we've got
A quitter, a regretter, and forgetter is
Everything I'm not
I'll take care of you
and love you just because
You and I are better than forever
Nothing can stop us
Chorus
Bridge:
We can be the generation
Who learns how to love
Mistakes & empty promises
Will never be enough
To tear apart the giant hearts
that beat inside us now
Let's conquer the percentages
and rise above the crowd
Chorus
+No matter where you are
No matter where you are I'll be (x2)
I'll be there (x2)
