No Matter Where You Are

I don't know why, but I've been on this random love kick lately. I actually feel like I got kicked in the face by cupid. (Which is random, because I thoroughly enjoy my single status.) Perhaps it's because I've been cheering on my friends who have recently gotten married, dating someone, or engaged. Or perhaps it's the love songs that I've heard lately that just make my heart melt. I saw this old couple the other day that were holding hands while walking down the street. Tender. It makes me smile thinking that we have all been promised a best friend to take on life and eternity with. Heaven knows, I wouldn't want to do it alone.

I was reading my patriarchal blessing about my hunk of a man and my heart was beating something fierce! He's a freakin' amazing man, I tell you! He's just the man I need / want. I just get goosebumps each time I read about him. It makes me excited to meet this guy.

I was asked last week what kind of wife / mother I would be. I was stumped. A good one? Gee, I don't know. I really had to think hard about this one. Then I had to ask myself, what am I doing now that will help me become a great wife / mother? Where could I improve? I feel like I am far from where I should be. (Then again, I think that's natural for everyone.) This thought was hot wired on my brain the last few days. I took a step back and reevaluated my life. I want to be just as great and spiritual as my husband. He's doing his best to prepare for me and I should be doing the same to prepare for him. Let's be honest, he deserves a top-notch girl, right?

The other day I came across this song on YouTube and immediately fell in love with it. It pretty much describes the person I want to be in a marriage.

"No Matter Where You Are"
written by: Michael & Carissa Alvarado

I will stand by you
Even when we fall
I will be the rock, that holds you up
and lifts you high so you stand tall

I won't let you go
No one can take your place
a couple fights & lonely nights
Don't make it right to let it go to waste

Chorus:
I won't let you fall
I won't let you go
No matter where you are
No matter where you are, I'll be there

I will hold on to
Everything we've got
A quitter, a regretter, and forgetter is
Everything I'm not

I'll take care of you
and love you just because
You and I are better than forever
Nothing can stop us

Chorus

Bridge:
We can be the generation
Who learns how to love
Mistakes & empty promises
Will never be enough
To tear apart the giant hearts
that beat inside us now
Let's conquer the percentages
and rise above the crowd

Chorus

+No matter where you are
No matter where you are I'll be (x2)

I'll be there (x2)
